Hi, and welcome!
My name is Gustav Stenman, and I’m the founder and maker behind STENMAN leather – a small leathercraft studio based in Kumla, Sweden
A CREATIVE HERITAGE
This is more than just a business – it’s a journey rooted in heritage, faith, and a deep desire to build something real.
My grandfather was both a carpenter and an artist, a man who shaped wood and beauty with his hands. In a small house in Herand, Hardanger, Norway, my great-grandmother lived as a woman of prayer, a true woman of God, crafting clothing with the same devotion that shaped her life of faith.
Their lives continue to shape how I create today. I believe the gift of craftsmanship is something God has placed within me – not merely as a skill, but as a calling.
HOW WE WORK
At STENMAN leather, I design and handcraft every product myself, using traditional techniques and full-grain leather from trusted tanneries. Not rushed, not mass-produced – just honest materials, careful hands, and timeless design.
BUILT TOGETHER
My wife Anna is not only my greatest support – she’s also the heart behind our voice and visuals. As media and communications lead, she helps us share our story with the world through the Instagram aswell as the website.
WHERE WE’RE GOING
We’re still small and just at the beginning of this journey, but our values are clear: integrity, simplicity, and products that grow more beautiful with time.
